Welcoming the Lunar Year with a Roar!
Beauty Court Owner and long-time Valmont associate Daisy Wu shares her wishes of beauty for the upcoming year of the Tiger.
Happy Lunar Year Daisy! What does the Year of the Tiger represent to you?
As you know in Chinese culture, every year is represented by an animal of the Zodiac. For me, this coming year is all about growing strong. The Tiger represents power, resilience, and hope to me. I think we’re in for a good year.
How do you celebrate Lunar Year with your team at Beauty Court?
We have a very traditional celebration with all of my team and my family. It's a very important celebration for us, especially on the first day. It's a new start. It's a new beginning. Usually, we'll celebrate and have a really nice dim sum; something that we can share. We can also express our wishes for the upcoming year.
After dim sum, we go back to work of course, but I will give out red envelopes with lucky money in them. We hope for a good year all around.

What attracted you to Valmont and how did this partnership start?
I love to study and I love learning information regarding different brands, their backgrounds and their performance. Since I have such a passion for beauty products and skincare, I know that Swiss brands are specifically known for making very high-performing products. And once I tried Valmont, I could not give up, no other brand can compete.
When talking about Valmont, what stands out the most to me is the immediate “Wow Factor.” You really see the performance of the products quickly and the effects get visibly more noticeable after one or a few days of using a product.
And what I love the most is that Valmont really lets the natural beauty shine, even without makeup.
What is your favourite Valmont product?
Right now my star star star product is l'Elixir des Glaciers' limited edition treatment “La Quintessence des Glaciers.” I'm not so young anymore so for me elixir is the way to go. It’s excellent. I love everything from that line. The Fluide Merveilleux is also fantastic.
What is your at-home facial treatment routine?
I love sharing my routines! Every day I follow the simple rules of “cleanse, tone, serum and cream.” I’ll finish it off with l'Elixir des Glaciers Powder foundation. It’s phenomenal. I wear it in Ivory in Shanghai. I’ll also exfoliate and use a mask once a week. I alternate between Prime Renewing Pack or the Masque Majestueux on days when my skin looks particularly tired. On special occasions, I use the Collagen Mask and lastly, I absolutely recommend using the Time Master Treatment every three or four months. It completely revitalizes and regenerates your skin.
What are you wishing for this year?
Well we would love to put the pandemic behind us of course. But I really hope to continue this amazing partnership with Valmont. We love the products and the people behind the brand. We look forward to growing alongside Valmont.
