Based in Switzerland and with an international projection, the Valmont Group (CVL Cosmetics SA and its subsidiaries) is specialized in the manufacture and distribution of first class cosmetics and beauty products and is also dedicated to the promotion of art and beauty. We attach great importance to the security and privacy of your personal data. We treat your personal data in accordance with the data protection laws in force in your country, in particular respecting the principles of legality, fairness and transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization, accuracy, limited storage, completeness, availability and confidentiality, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (DPA) and the General European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This Privacy Policy applies to the personal data we collect in connection with our products and services when you visit our websites, points of sale, spas, spas of Hotels by Valmont in the European Economic Area or in Switzerland (collectively the "Points of Sale"), when you communicate with us through digital platforms, when you contact our Customer Service or during our events.

2.What personal data do we collect ?

We may collect personal data directly from you (e.g. when you purchase a product in a shop) or indirectly (e.g. from your electronic devices that interact with our websites).

We process the personal data you provide us with when you register/create a customer account on our websites, during the order and purchase process, when you use the contact form or other form(s) on our websites, when you visit one of our shops or spas, when you subscribe to our Newsletter or when you use our digital platforms :

  • Credit card payment information when making a purchase on our site
  • Your PayPal account email address if you have used this service when making a purchase on our site.
  • Where required by law, a tax identifier/identity document number, in order to comply with the legal requirements for invoicing in the European Union

2.2 Personal data that you provide to us indirectly

We also collect information about your visits to our websites, traffic data, location data, web logs, your IP address through cookies placed on your device. Some cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of our Digital Platforms and others are used for analytical purposes that help provide you with more personalized services and a better digital experience. We may use the personal data we collect to :

6.Where is your data stored and is it transferred ?

Your personal data are stored in databases linked to our websites or to our management tools, hosted by our service providers, on servers. These servers are secure and are under the confidentiality charters of our service providers and respect the laws and regulations on the protection of personal data.

The Valmont Group operates worldwide. In this context, we may transfer your personal data abroad, even to countries that do not offer a level of protection equivalent to that of your country of residence. Prior to such transfers, we will apply appropriate measures to protect your personal data. We may also transfer personal data with your explicit consent and in certain cases where permitted by applicable law.

7. Who has access to your personal data ?

  • The authorised personnel of the Valmont Group who process the orders placed on our websites, the members of the technical teams who ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of the websites, the customer relations personnel who process the contact requests sent from our contact forms.
  • The staff of our stores and Spa Valmont at Hotels, in order to serve you in the best possible way.
  • Possible service providers that may be involved in our websites, or a request from the Valmont Group.
  • Our authorized subcontractors, solely in compliance with the purpose and aims communicates at the time of collection or explained in this Privacy Policy.

We ensure that our staff and our service providers can act in accordance with applicable laws on the protection of personal data and that they pay particular attention to the confidentiality and security of such data.

All persons and employees who may have access to your personal data have ratified a confidentiality charter.

8. How long do we keep your data ?

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we will keep the personal data we obtain about you for as long as

  • is necessary for the purposes for which they have been obtained, in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy, or
  • we have another legal basis, indicated in this Privacy Policy, to maintain such data beyond the period during which it is necessary to achieve the initial purpose of obtaining the personal data.

9. What are your rights ?

  • access, modify, update and correct the personal data we hold about you through your Customer Account Board or by contacting us through the contact information below.
  • ask us to remove or restrict your personal information through our online contact form or by contacting us via the contact information below; or
  • exercise your right to data retention by the same means. Where permitted by law, you may at any time withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data for legitimate reasons related to your particular circumstances, and we will apply your preferences where appropriate. To request the exercise of these rights, please contact us at the address given in the last section of this document.
  • With respect to the Newsletter, you may choose not to receive it any longer by withdrawing your consent on the Dashboard of your customer account. If you do not have one, a link to unsubscribe is available on the Newsletter. If you continue to receive the newsletter despite your wish not to receive it any more, please contact us.

To protect your privacy and maintain security, we may take steps to verify your identity before granting you access to the information. Depending on your geographical location, you may be able to file a complaint with the relevant national data protection authority (e.g. CNIL in the case of France and the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Transparency in the case of Switzerland) if you are not satisfied with our response.

10.How do we protect your data ?

Our websites use a variety of appropriate technical security measures, communication protocols and organisational measures. Authentication tools are encrypted to ensure the security of your personal data.

  • The Valmont Group staff authorised to process the orders made on our websites, members of the technical teams who carry out maintenance and ensure the correct function of our websites, customer management staff who process contact requests sent via our contact forms.
  • The staff in our relay stores and our spas and Hotels by Valmont spas, to help provide the best possible service.
  • Any service providers who may work on our websites or a Valmont Group application.

  • For the newsletter, you can chose to unsubscribe by withdrawing your consent in your customer account Dashboard. If you do not have one, a link to unsubscribe can be found in the Newsletter. If you still continue to receive the Newsletter, please contact us directly.
