Since the creation of the Essence of Bees Collection, an exceptional skincare collection derived from the treasures of the beehive, l'Elixir des Glaciers has been committed to the protection of bees.
From sponsoring Swiss beehives that produce a portion of the honey used in our skincare products, this commitment was extended worldwide through four associative partnerships.
The goal: to act at all levels of the bee ecosystem.
Our pledge to the precious honeybee
A worldwide support program
l’Elixir des Glaciers has been working in partnership with Stéphanie Vuadens, Swiss beekeeper and “Arches des Abeilles” founder since 2017, collaborating to creating 20 Geneva-based hives, whose ingredients constitute the very heart of our exceptional Essence of Bees collection.
Expanding beyond Switzerland's borders
In 2023, l'Elixir des Glaciers is extending its support program to 3 new non-profit associations focused on protecting bees and their ecosystem. To support these complementary projects, l'Elixir des Glaciers donates part of the proceeds from the Essence of Bees* collection sales:
- €20 per Essence of Bees product purchased
- €1,000 per limited-edition artistic box set purchased
- 100% of limited-edition bracelets sales only available in our exclusive boutiques La Maison Valmont
*In accordance with the limit of donation agreed with each partner association.
Educating younger generations
FONDATION ARCHE DES ABEILLES, Switzerland
Created by Stéphanie Vuadens to protect bees and educate youth and adults on the essential role our little furry friends fulfill worldwide, the foundation focuses on three interrelated activities: reintroduce and nurture beehives, plant flowers for all pollinating insects and create educational awareness programs for students.
l'Elixir des Glaciers supports the foundation's educational mission. Thanks to its donations, the foundation has already trained nearly 2,000 students, more than 99% of its annual target. l'Elixir des Glaciers is also supporting the creation of an interactive book for children, immersing them in the life of the beehive, which will be available from September 2024.
Monitoring the environment to better protect it
BEELIFE, Europe
Based in Brussels and active throughout Europe via a network spanning 11 countries, this NGO is devoted to improving the environment of pollinating insects, particularly bees. It focuses on regulations governing the use and impact of pesticides and seeks to shape the future of the European Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), advocating in favor of more sustainable agricultural practices for greater biodiversity.
l'Elixir des Glaciers supports BeeLife's research and data centralization activities. Thanks to donations, the association has been able to improve the quality of its beekeeping partnerships, share several scientific publications and support the bee cause at awareness-raising events.
Sharing beekeeper savoir-faire
BEEKEEPERS FOUNDATION, Middle East
This non-profit association helps professional and amateur beekeepers share their expertise and raise awareness about the importance of bees. Its core objectives include promoting beekeeping best practices, providing educational support to beekeepers based in the United Arab Emirates and campaigning for “protected status” of the endangered Arabian Dwarf honeybee.
l'Elixir des Glaciers provides educational support for rural women beekeepers in the Middle East. Thanks to these funds, the foundation has set up the "Nahala" initiative: a rich program of beekeeping courses given to a selection of 15 women to prepare them to become the beekeeping trainers of tomorrow.
Innovating through research
POLLINATOR PARTNERSHIP, North America
One of the largest non-profit organizations dedicated solely to the protection of pollinator health and habitat through conservation, education and cutting-edge research initiatives in North America and worldwide.
l'Elixir des Glaciers supports research to preserve pollinators in North America. This partnership funds projects focused on improving the health of key pollinators such as honeybees, bumblebees and butterflies. l'Elixir des Glaciers provides real support to researchers who are doing their utmost to raise public awareness of these essential species.
